It is a statement by itself when a club joins the IAOMAS network. For your information, there are many martial arts schools that are not interested in pursuing activities that promote non-denominational cross-training, let alone look out for student benefits. This is not an indication of a lack of quality, but one of organizational mentality. You can be assured that clubs who belong to the IAOMAS are those that are student-centric, and which understand the benefits of allowing students to explore opportunities and experiences beyond that which you initially signed up for. We also extend our appreciation and admiration to the instructors at member clubs. Joining the IAOMAS is a credit to their confidence, their belief in quality, and their open-mindedness. The IAOMAS is about promoting a sharing mindset, but the truth is that there are many instructors who are not ready to make themselves transparent to other schools or other students. This is not so with any of the IAOMAS members, and we hope that you will extend the right appreciation and thanks to each individual member who makes this worldwide support system possible. |
